titleOfInvention Stabilized halogen-containing polymer composition
abstract PURPOSE: To impart improved resistance to initial discoloration and thermal stability to a halogen-containing polymer, by the synergistic effect of a specific organotin compound and a tin tetrakis (mercaptocarboxylic acid ester) added to the polymer. n CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 parts by wt. of a halogen-containing polymer is incorporated with (B) 0.1W5.0 parts by wt. of an organotin compound, except organotin makate compounds, of formula I having 1W3 hydrocarbon groups selected from aryl, benzyl, or 1W18C alkyl groups directly bonded to the tetravalent tin atom and at least one 3W53C carboxylic acid residues directly bonded to the tetravatent tin atom and (C) a tin tetrakis (mercaptocarboxylic acid ester of formula II: (R 17 to R 20 are H, methyl, phenyl groups; R 21 to R 24 are residues after removal of at least one OH from mono-to hexahydric 1W30C alcohols; a,b,c, and f are 0W4) in an amount equal to or 1/100 of that of the ingredient (B). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
