titleOfInvention Cleaning of spinning pack
abstract PURPOSE: To clean a pack simply by cleaning without using metallic needles, by immersing the pack in a hot melt of an alkali metal nitrate, followed by immersing in aqueous solutions of sulfanmic acid, and an alkali metal (bi) carbonate one after another. n CONSTITUTION: A spining pack used for melt spinning a thermoplastic synthetic polymer, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate, polyamide, polyolofin, etc. is immersed in (A) a melt consisting mainly of an alkali metal nitrate. The pack is then immersed in (B) a preferably 1wr.% aqueous solution of sulfamic acid, then (C) an aqueous solution of an alkali metal carbonate and/or bicarbonate. The melt (A) preferably consists of 50W80 wt.% of an alkali metal nitrate, 10W40 wt.% of an alkali metal nitrite, and 0W20 wt.% of an alkali metal hydroxide. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
