titleOfInvention Optical resolution of n-benzoyl-m-hydroxy-dl- phenylglycine
abstract PURPOSE: To resolve N-benzoyl-m-hydroxy-DL-phenylglycine into optical isomers by the use of cultured product of bacteria belonging to Azotobacter genus. n CONSTITUTION: N-benzoyl-m-hydroxy-DL-phenylglycine is brought into contact with cultured medium of Azotobacter strain No.1736 (FERM-P No.18) or an aqueous medium containing treated cells of the above bacteria. By this treatment, N-benzoyl-m-hydroxy-L-phenylglycine is sepectively hydrolyzed, and the DL-isomer is sepaarated into optical active m-hydroxy-L-phenylglycine and N-benzoyl-m- hydroxy-D-phenylglycine n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
