abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a lightweight instrument panel having improved quality, by injecting a urethane foam into a closed gap formed between a frame material placed on a mold coated with a release agent and the mold, bollowed by foaming. n CONSTITUTION: The frame 1 is placed on the aluminum molde 2 coated with a release agent, and the urethane foam 3 is injected into the closed gap formed between the frame material / and the mold 2, and foamed. The foam 3 is injected from the injection gate 5 formed in the inner mold and injection hole 8 by the mixing head 4 of the high-pressure foaming machine. The foamable stock solution thus injected produces gases by blowing, and the gases are discharged from the vent hole 7 provided on the frame material 1, thus foaming and curing the resin.
