abstract PURPOSE:To provide the title composition having excellent storage stability, easily curable by heating in air, and giving a cured film having excellent rust preventing properties, by dissolving a specific amount of iron (compound) to a normally solid polyester which can be cured by heating in air. CONSTITUTION:A composition composed of (A) 100 parts by weight of a polyester having a molecular witght of 1000-12000, and curably by heating in air, mainly composed of (a) a component curable in air selected from mono-or poly-hydric alcohol and/ or mono-or poly-basic carboxylic acid having a tricyclodecene ring and/ or norbornene ring, (b) a polybasic carboxylic acid and (c) a polyhydirc alcohol, (B) 0.00001- 0.1 part (as Fe) of an iron compound such as ferrocene, iron carbonyl, etc., and (C) 0.00001-1 part (as Si) of a silicon compound such as dimethyl polysiloxane, methylphenyl polysiloxane, etc.
