titleOfInvention Decreasing method for nitrogen oxides with carbon
abstract PURPOSE: To maintain the high removing rate for NO x as a whole, by decreasing or removing NO x by contacting the exhaust gas from burners with the carbon- containing substance having a small content of N compounds such as NH 3 , CN, etc. in the volatile matter and then by preventing the generation of new NO x at the combustion of H 2 , CO, etc. generated as byproducts. n CONSTITUTION: The coal 2 is fed to the fluidized bed 1 which is fluidized with the air from the introduction pipe 5 and is burned. The exhaust gas from combustion passes through the disperser 9, is dispersed into the fluidized bed 6 for denitration (above 400°C) consisting of the carbon-containing substance (e.g. char from dry distillation of coal) having a small content of N compounds such as NH 3 , CN, etc. in the volatile matter, and is reacted with the char, so as to remove NO x . The gas which has passed through the fluidized bed and yet contains a very small amount of combustible gases such as H 2 , CO, CH 4 , etc., is burnt in the freeboard 12 with the secondary air which is introduced through the pipe 10 and is dispersed from the disperser 11, and is discharged through the pipe 13 n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
