PURPOSE: To obtain a pliable adhesive having improved resistance to dry cleaning and hot water, without degrading the hand of bonded parts, by melt incorporating a specific block copolyether-ester with polyethylene in a specific proportion. n CONSTITUTION: A textile hot-melt adhesive prepared by melt incorporating (A) 98W60wt.% of a block copolyether-ester with (B) 2W40wt.% of polyethylene having a melt index of about 1W100, preferably 10W80. The block copolyether-ester is obtained by copolymerizing (a) a dicarboxylic component comprising 70W35 mole% of terephthalic acid and 30W65 mole% of isophthalic acid with (b) 1,4- butanediol and (c) poly(tetramethylene oxide)glycol having a number-average molecular weight of 500W6,000, preferably 800W4,500 so that the component (c) content may be 5W35wt.% based on the copolyether-ester n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio |
