titleOfInvention Dispersion stabilizer for suspension polymerization of vinyl compound
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a dispersion stabilizer, capable of producing granulated vinyl chloride polymer with a large percentage of voids and a drastic grain distribution, made of olefin-denaturated PVA yielded from asponification of ester component in a long-chain α-olefin-vinyl copolymer containing a long-chain α-olefin of 5 or more in the number of C atoms. n CONSTITUTION: This dispersion stabilizer (component A) for suspension polymerization of vinyl compounds, especially vinyl chloride is made of olefin denaturated PVA yielded from 20% or more, especially 40W100% saponfication by mole of ester component in a long-chain α-olefin-vinyl copolymer (e.g. α-dodecene-vinyl acetate copolymer) containing 0.01W10% by mole of a long-chain olefin of 5 or more in the number of C atoms. In addition, this component A is made in coexistence with a PVA (component B) of 60W90%, especially 65W90% by mole in average saponification degree and 100W3,000, 400W3,000 by mole in average polymeriation degree at a ratio A/B of 9/1W0.1/9.9 to improve the effect of the dispersion stabilizer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
