abstract PURPOSE:A shampoo capable of washing hair without sticking after washing, having improved foaming and foam retention properties during the washing, prepared by adding a cationic cellulose ether and a nonionic polymer to a concn. solution of a surfactant. CONSTITUTION:A shampoo is prepared by incorporating (A) 0.05-5.0wt% of a cationic cellulose ether, e.g. Polymer JR-400, Union Carbide Co., and (B) 0.05- 5.0wt%, preferably 0.2-2.0wt% of a nonionic polymer, e.g. methyl cellulose, with (C) a concn. aqueous solution of a surfactant, e.g. sodium polyoxyethylene (P=3) lauryl ether sulfate, etc.
