titleOfInvention Production of copolymer of phenol compounds
abstract PURPOSE: The copolymerization of a mixture containing a conjugated diene and a phenolic reactive antiaging agent as essential monomers is conducted using a specific catalyst to produce a high-molecular-weight phenolic antiaging agent that is less extractable and high compatible to rubber and resins. n CONSTITUTION: The copolymerization of a mixture containing (a) a 4W10C conjugated diene, such as isoprene, butadiene-1, 3 and (b) a phenolic compound bearing ethylenically double bonds and a carbonyl conjugating with the double bond as the essential components is conducted using a catalyst resulting from combining (A) a compound of AlR n X 3-n (R is 1W20C hydrocarbyl residue; X is halogen; n is 1W2), or a combination of ethylaluminum dichloride-aluminum trichloride, with (B) a soluble V or Ti compound as vanadyl trichloride or titanium tetrachloride. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
