titleOfInvention | Polyester resin composition |
abstract | PURPOSE: A specific amount of phosphorus compound are incorporated to a composition consisting of an aromatic polyester, flat glass flakes, and an epoxy compound to produce title composition giving molded products free from warpage and good in thermal and mechanical characteristics. n CONSTITUTION: To a composition prepared by adding (B) 5 W 150, preferably 20 W 100 parts by wt of long platy glass flakes that has an aspect ratio over 5 and a long diameter less than 1000 microns after mixed, (C) 0.01 W 10 parts, per 100 parts of the total component A and component B, of an epoxy compound having 2 epoxy groups to (A) 100 parts by wt of an aromatic polyester of over 0.70 reduced viscosity, is incorporated (D) a phosphorus compound as phosphoric acid, esters or phosphonic acid derivative in such an amount that satisfies equations I and II. The addition of a rubber copolymer containing vinyl monomers further improves the impact characteristics. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio |
