titleOfInvention Dissolution of calcium oxalate
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a concentrated solution of hardly soluble calcium oxalate, rapidly, by contacting calcium oxalate with an aqueous solution containing inorganic acid anions and ferric ions. n CONSTITUTION: Calcium oxalate is dissolved in an aqueous solution containing inorganic acid anoions and ferric ions (e.g. an aqueous solution of ferric chloride, ferric nitrate, ferric sulfamate, etc.). The concentraton of the ferric ion in the solution is 0.1W10 wt%, pref. 0.3W4 wt%. Higher dissolution temperature gives higher rate of dissolution, and the temperature is pref. 20W90°C, esp. 30W70°C. n USE: Disposal of calcium oxalate which is a by-product of chemical industry, pulp industry, etc. Dissolution and removal of calculus in living body. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
