PURPOSE:To prepare a cosmetic composition having low irritation to the skin, high affinity, excellent aging stability, emulsion stability, and touch, and giving smooth and glossy skin or hair, by mixing a specific ether derivative to the base of a cosmetic composition by conventional method. CONSTITUTION:An ether derivative of formula, e.g. gamma-(N-1,1-dimethylolethyl) aminopropylene glycol alpha-octadecyl ether, is added to the base of a comsmetic composition. The amount of the ether in the composition is 0.1-30 wt%, pref. 1-20 wt%, e.g. 1-10 wt% for skin cosmetics and 5-20 wt% for hair cosmetics. |
