| abstract | PURPOSE: The title composition capable of forming a molded article with a little plate-out, having faint odor and improved thermal stability in the processing of a polymer, scarcely causing caking, obtained by blending an alkaline slurry of finely divided silicic acid with a dialkyltin maleate. n CONSTITUTION: A) A dialkyltin maleate shown by the formula (R 1 and R 2 are 1W2C alkyl; m is ≥1) is blended with B) an alkaline slurry of finely divided silicic acid in an weight ratio A to B of 1/5W1/1,000 by e.g., Henschel mixer. The finely divided silicic acid having water content of 5W10 wt. %, particle diameters of 10W 800 mμ, preferably 10W30mμ, a surface area of 50W500 m 2 /g, preferably 100W 300 m 2 /g, and silicon dioxide content not less than 80 wt. %, forming a 5 wt. %. aqueous slurry in the pH range more than 7, preferably 10W11. n EFFECT: The mixture of 100 parts by wt. of halogen-containing polymer with 0.1W 10 parts by wt. of the title composition shows effective results. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio |
