PURPOSE: A molding composition capable of forming a sheet having improved flexibility, calendering processing characteristics, vibration-damping and sound insulating properties, and beautiful surface, consisting of vinyl cyloride resin, a plasticizer, a spedific inorganic filler, and a rubber-like material. n CONSTITUTION: A) 100 parts by wt. of vinyl chloride resin having a solubility parameter of 9.4W9.8 and a degree of polymerization of 800W2,000 is blended with B) 50W130 parts by wt. of a plasticizer, e.g., a phthalate and a ester of a straight- chain dihydrid acid, C) 700W2500 parts by wt. of an inorganic filler having particle diameters not more than 100 mesh and a true specific gravity not less than 4, and D) 5W100 parts by wt. of a rubber-like material having a solubility parameter of 9.0W10.2, e.g., nitrile rubber, chloriprene rubber, and a copolymer of a vinyl ester and an olefin so that a resulting blend has a true specific gravity not less than 2.5, an elongation not less than 150% and an inorganic filler volume content not less than 45 volume %. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio |
