titleOfInvention Manufacturing of acrylonitrile polymer semipermeable membrane
abstract PURPOSE: To manufacture the title membrane having asymmetric porous structure and excellent separation characteristics and mechanical strength, by forming a film from a dope of an acrylonitrile polymer in dimethyl formamide containing formamide at specific temperature, and removing the solvent from the film. n CONSTITUTION: 10W35 wt% of an acrylonitrile polymer containing ≥80 wt% of acrylonitrile unit and having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.4W4, is dissolved in a mixed solvent of formamide and dimethylformamide (1/99W28/72). The dope is formed to the membrane having desired shape at a temperature higher than the gelation temperature by 1W50°. The membrane is passed through an inert atmosphere immediately after the forming, and subjected to the solvent removal process. n EFFECT: Highly asymmetric structure. Adjustable rate of permeation and salt-removing efficiency. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
