abstract PURPOSE: To provide a low-toxic carcinostatic agent effective to cancers induced by SV 40 virus, containing a phenylnitron derivative as an effective component. n CONSTITUTION: Oral carcinostatic agent containing 0.3W15.0% of a phenylnitron derivative of formula (R is lower alkyl), e.g. α-phenyl-N-methylnitron as an effective component, or a parenteral carcinostatic agent containing 0.01W10% of the compound.
