titleOfInvention | Preparation of blood extract solution |
abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare a blood extract solution having excellent aging stability, high drug action, and free from precipitation and pH variation, by the successive treatments of blood, comprising heating, removal of coagulated protein, concentration, removal of protein, removal of CO 2 gas, and precipitation under alkaline conditions. n CONSTITUTION: Blood of animal, e.g. young or mature cattle, (1 part by volume) is hemolyzed by adding water (pref. 1W2 parts by volume), and heated usually at 80W100°C for 30W60 min. After removing the coagulated proteins from the blood, the solution is concentrated to 1/5W1/15 of its original volume at 30W60°C in vacuum, and dialyzed using distilled water as external liquid to remove proteins therefrom. In an arbitrary stage in the above process, the pH of the blood solution is lowered below 5, and carbonate and bicarbonate ions are removed as CO 2 ; and in an arbitrary stage after the removal of the heat-coagulated protein, the pH of the blood solution is adjusted between 9.5 and 11.5, and the precipitate is removed from the solution. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio |
