Mg cpd. and a halogen cpd., a Ti halide and one or more kinds of S-, O- and N-contg. heterocyclic carboxylic acid esters. n CONSTITUTION: The catalyst consists of a component obtd. by reaction pulverizing or pulverizing a reaction product of an org. Mg cpd. of formula I and a halogen cpd. of formula II, TiCl 3 or TiCl 4 , and one or more kinds of S-, O- and N-contg. hetercyclic carboxylic acid esters, and of a component contg. an org. Al cpd. and one or more kinds of the above esters.
