abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare the title composition having excellent flame retardancy, without lowering the original physical properties of the polymer, by compounding a specific mixture and decabromophenoxybenzene to an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. n CONSTITUTION: A composition composed of (A) a resin containing ≥50 wt% of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer containing ≥10 wt% of vinyl acetate unit, (B) one or more compound selected from perchloropentacyclodecane, dodecachlorodecahydromethanodibenzocyclooctene, and dodecachlorooctahydrodimethanobenzofuran, and (C) decabromophenoxybenzene.
