titleOfInvention Imidazole derivative, its preparation and biocides for agruculture and floriculture containing the same
abstract NEW MATERIAL:Imidazole derivatives of formula I (X is CF 3 , Cl; n is 1, 2; R is alkyl, substituted phenyl, preferably 2 - 8C, much preferably 2 - 4C alkyl). n EXAMPLE: 1-[N-(2,4-Dichlorophenyl)-3-n-propoxypropaneimidoyl]imidazole. n USE: Biocides of a variety of plant diseases, preferably botrytic cineria, sclerotinia rot, bacterial wilt, and mildew in vegetables, brown rot in peach tree, helminthosporium leaf spot in corn and scab in apple and pear trees, with reduced toxicity against warm blood animals. n PREPARATION: The reaction of a compound of formula II (Y is halogen) with imidazole is conducted in an inert solvent as a polar solvent, e.g., chloroform, in the presence of an acid acceptor as triethylamine at 0 - 90°C, preferably room temperature to the boiling point of the slovent for 1 - 3 hr to prepare the objective compound of formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
