abstract NEW MATERIAL:The title substance characterized by: molecular weight 27,000 ± 1,000; peak of UV-abasorption specturm, 275W280 mμ, IR absorption spectrum, characteristic absorptions of protein; isoelectric point, about pH7; soluble in water and aqueous solution of NaCl having an ion strength of 0.01W0.1; optimum pH range for protease activity, ≥8,5; that for esterase activity, ≥7.5; that for amidase activity, about 8.5; optimum temperature for protease activity, about 50°C; stable at pH5W12 at a low temperature; stable by heating at 40°C and pH9.5 for 60 min; more than 90% of the activity is lost by heating at 70°C for 60 min; selectively and specifically hydrolyzes the ester bond and amide bond of carboxyl group in L-lysine; inhibited by diisopropyl phosphofluoride, etc. n USE: Selective and specific hydrolysis of ester bond and amide bond of carboxyl group in L-lysine. n PROCESS: Culturing of Achromobacter (e.g. Achromobacter lyticus M497-1). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
