abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a new photosensitive polymeric compound useful as carriers for fixing of enzymes, soluble in water and consisting of a specific structural unit, by reacting a stilbazole derivative with a poly(halogenoethyl vinyl ether) at a specific ratio. n CONSTITUTION: (A) A poly(2-halogenoethyl vinyl ether) is reacted with (B) a stilbazole derivative I (R is H, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy)(pref. γ-styrylpyridine, etc.) (less than the halogen equivalent of (A)), and optionally (C) a tertiary amine, e.g. pyridine, etc., to give a photosensitive polymeric compound having the structural unit II, III (R' is halogen or quaternary ammonium residual group) and optionally IV (R" is quaternary ammonium residual group). n USE: Photoresists, coating materials, printing vehicles, etc.. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
