titleOfInvention Removal of nitrogen oxide contained in coke furnace exhaust gas
abstract PURPOSE: NH 3 is introduced into coke furnace exhaust gas as a constant rate, independently of NO concentration variations with time. Or, more particularly, NH 3 is mixed at a specified molar ratio to the average value of the maximum NO concentration, and the mixed gas is contacted with catalyst, thereby to reduce regeneration frequencies and to maintain high denitration rate. n CONSTITUTION: Into a coke furnace exhaust gas whose NO concentration varies with time in the range of 10 to 500 ppm, NH 3 is added, regardless of NO variations, at a fixed rate such that the molar ratio of NH 3 /NO is 0.35 to 0.9, where NO is taken as the average value of the maximum NO concentration. The mixed gas is contacted with Ti-V base catalyst, etc., at 150 to 280°C. More specifically, when the molar ratio NH 3 /NO is 0.35 or more and below 0.8, NH 3 /NO=(η+(5±5))/123 should define the amount of NH 3 , and if the NH 3 /NO is 0.8 to 0.9, NH 3 /NO= (η-(77±5))/20 should define the NH 3 quantity, wherein η is the desired dinitration rate. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
