titleOfInvention | Flame-retardant resin composition |
abstract | PURPOSE: To impart flame retardancy to, and to improve color, heat resistance, moldability, etc. of a polybutylene terephthalate resin, by adding a specific amount of a bromine-containing polycarbonate and a higher fatty acid ester. n CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 parts by weight of polybutylene terephthalate is compounded with (B) 1W100 parts by weight of a bromine-containing polycarbonate expressed by the formula (l and m are 1W4: n is ≥ 16; R 1 and R 2 are H, 1W5C alkyl or R 1 and R 2 together form a 5W12C cycloalkane), (C) 0W100 parts by weight (on the basis of antimory) of an antimony compound, e.g. antimony trioxide, etc., and (D) 0.01W3 parts by weight of a 12W32C higher fatty acid ester (pref. montanate). The (B) component is pref. a polycarbonate having an average number of recurrent unit of 21W50 and a melting point of ≥ 300°C, and prepared from tetrabromobisphenol A. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio |
