titleOfInvention | Preparation of 1alpha,24-dihydroxyvitamin d3 or its derivative |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the title substance having high intestinal calcium transport from the small intestine and bone calcium mobilization, by bringing stable 1α- hydroxy-24-oxovitamin D 3 with an aluminum or boron hydride. n CONSTITUTION: A 1α-hydroxy-24-oxovitamin D 3 of formula I: (R 1 and R 2 are H or hydroxyl-protecting groups, e.g. acyl groups) or its derivative is brought into contact with an aluminum hydride of formula II: (M 1 is alkali metal; R 5 is lower alkoxy group; n is an integer 1-4) or a boron hydride of formula III: (M 2 is alkali metal; R 6 is lower alkyl or alkoxy group; m is integer 1W4) in an inert solvent at -10 to 100°C to give the objective compound of formula IV. The compound of formula II or III is used in an amount of 1W200 times the equivalent of the starting meterial. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio |
