abstract PURPOSE: A lubricant composition for an internal combustion engine having improved wear resistance of a valve in motion, scarcely causing clogging in an oil filter, obtained by blending a base oil with specific four kinds of additives. n CONSTITUTION: A base oil having normal lubricant viscosity and a viscosity index of 85W120 is blended with A) 0.2W1.5 wt.% of magnesium sulfonate with a high hydroxyl number of 200W400 mgKOH/g and magnesium content of 5W12 wt.%, B) 0.1W2.0 wt.% of calcium phenate having a hydroxyl number of 60W300 mgKOH/g and calcium content of 2W12 wt.%, C) 1.0W10.0 wt.% of an alkenyl succinic imide (derivative), obtained by reacting a polyolefin having a molecular weight of 300W3,000 with maleic anhydride, followed by imidizing the reacting product with a polyamine, and D) 0.3W2.0 wt.% of a zinc dialkyldithio phosphate shown by the formula (R 1W4 are same or different 3W18C alkyl, or alkanol). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
