titleOfInvention | Meso-tetra(p-sulfophenyl)porphine derivative |
abstract | NEW MATERIAL:Meso-tetra(p-sulfophenyl)porphine derivatives of the formula (R 1 - R 4 are OH, halogen, where at least one in R 1 - R 4 is halogen) or their products resulting fron the reaction with anticarcinostatic agents. n EXAMPLE: Combination product of meso-tetra(p-sulfophenyl)porphine-anthramycin. n USE: Anticarcinostatic agent or its intermediates; it is characterized by introducing halogen into meso-tetra(p-sulfophenyl)porphine (abbreviated as TPPS 4 ) that has properties accumlating on cancer tissues so that it can react with anticarcinostatic agents. Efficient anticarcinostatic activity is expected due to the properties accumulating on cancer tissures. n PREPARATION: The sodium salt of TPPS 4 is reacted with thionyl halide in a solvent to form a compound of formula II, which is further reacted with an anticarcinostatic agent as mitomycin to prepare the combination product. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio |
