titleOfInvention Absorption tower of wet flue gas desulfurization unit
abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To reduce the pressure loss of a gas flow in an absorption tower, To provide an absorption tower of a wet flue gas desulfurization device capable of achieving high efficiency desulfurization with energy saving. SOLUTION: In order to absorb sulfur oxides in the exhaust gas, a spray pipe 7 in an absorption tower for spraying an absorbing liquid toward the exhaust gas. The cross-sectional shape of a is made elliptical or oval. Then, the spray pipe 7a in the absorption tower is installed so that the long axis side of the spray pipe 7a having an elliptical cross section or an oval cross section is oriented in the flow direction of the exhaust gas. In this manner, by making the cross-sectional shape of the spray pipe 7a in the absorption tower into an elliptical shape or an oval shape, the conventional cross-sectional shape is smaller than that of the spray pipe in the circular absorption tower in the case of the same spray amount of the absorbent. The gap between the pipes can be enlarged, and the pressure loss of the gas flow can be reduced by suppressing the flow rate of the exhaust gas passing through the gap.
