Kind Code: A1 A cross-linking agent for preparing an electrophoresis gel comprising a compound having an acryloyl group or a methacryloyl group introduced into at least two hydroxyl groups of a cyclodextrin or a cyclodextrin derivative, and the cross-linking agent and acrylamide, methacrylamide Or a composition for preparing an electrophoresis gel containing these derivatives and an electrophoresis gel comprising a polymer obtained by copolymerizing the composition. [Effect] An electrophoresis gel for DNA sequencing can be obtained in which the amount of information that can be read in one run is dramatically increased.
