abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wax for an information recording agent, for example, used as a release agent blended in a toner for color printing. SOLUTION: Ibota wax is a main component, and at least one kind of wax among polyethylene wax, montanic acid wax and carnauba wax is contained as an auxiliary component. The hardness is improved by blending the polyethylene wax and the montanic acid wax, the glossiness is improved by blending the carnauba wax, and the crystal structure of Ibota wax is improved by blending the polyethylene wax. The incorporation of these auxiliary component waxes does not impair the whiteness, low acid value and sharp melt properties of Ibota wax at all.
