PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a durable urethane bond and a urea bond during curing of an electrodeposition coating film without causing the attendant problems of a blocked polyisocyanate curing agent. Offer. The electrodeposition method uses an aqueous coating composition comprising a carbamate-functional crosslinker and at least one main resin, wherein the carbamate-functional crosslinker first comprises at least two primary resins. It is prepared by reacting a polyamine having a primary amine group and at least one secondary amine group with a cyclic carbonate and then reacting the product of the first reaction with a polyepoxide compound. |
