titleOfInvention | Dye-donor element for thermal dye transfer |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-donor element which reduces the adhesion between a dye-donor and a dye-receiver after printing and also reduces the interaction of a dye for pressure-induced dye transfer. SOLUTION: The dye-donor element for thermal dye transfer comprises a support having an image dye in a polymer binder and further having a dye layer also containing a release agent comprising a copolymer of the following formula: (Wherein R 1 and R 3 are each hydrogen or methyl, R 2 is a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and R 4 is a divalent bridging group having 1 to 16 carbon atoms) , R 5 Represents a haloalkyl group having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, wherein the halogen substantially consists of fluorine, x is 25 to 95% by weight, and y is 5 to 75% by weight). |
