abstract | (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] A color filter using a resin black matrix, which does not have a problem of display defects such as afterimages, and has a display quality of a liquid crystal display element due to scattering and transmission of light by a spacer. To provide a color filter that does not cause a reduction. SOLUTION: In a color filter, a black matrix is provided on a transparent substrate, and a coloring layer composed of three primary colors is provided so as to cover an opening of the black matrix and a part of the black matrix. The matrix is a resin black matrix in which at least a light-shielding agent is dispersed in a resin, and (B) a plurality of dot-like spacers formed by laminating colored layers of three primary colors are provided on a part of the resin black matrix.
