abstract | (57) [Summary] In a method for manufacturing a magnetic recording medium having a magnetic layer on at least a non-magnetic substrate and subjected to laser texturing, the substrate is held by a substrate holding mechanism in order to perform laser texturing. The magnetic recording medium is characterized in that at least a part of the substrate is irradiated with laser light from another light source different from the texture laser light until the substrate is separated, thereby cleaning the substrate surface. Production method. According to the present invention, a magnetic recording medium can be manufactured with high productivity. |
