(57) SUMMARY The present invention relates to a novel electroactive energy-storing poly (en) of the general formula (CS x ) n, where x is greater than 2.3 and up to about 50, and n is greater than or equal to 2. It relates to carbon-sulfide (PCS) material. The present invention also relates to a novel rechargeable electrochemical cell comprising a cathode material composed of the above-mentioned polycarbon-sulfide material and having an improved storage capacity at room temperature and near room temperature. The present invention also relates to a novel gel-type solid electrolyte useful in high energy storage batteries. |
