abstract Abstract: A plurality of projectiles (11) stacked axially within a barrel (12) and separate selective firings of the projectiles (11) sequentially fired through the mouth of the barrel (12). A barrel assembly (10) integrally comprising a flexible propellant (13) is provided with adjacent projectiles (11) spaced from one another by positioning means (13) independent of the projectile. The positioning means can be a solid propellant (13) located between adjacent projectiles, or it can be a rigid casing (122) for the propellant. When a load is applied into the barrel, the rear skirt of the active projectile (11) contracts inwardly at the rear end of the projectile (14), and a nest of propellant (13). It extends outward by interaction with the complementary head or propellant casing (122).
