Assays to evaluate the efficacy of drug chemotherapy |
abstract |
(57) [Summary]nIn vitro assays are described that respond to signal pathways that regulate compounds in transformed cells. By measuring the effect of a candidate drug on a particular kinase target, successful candidates can be screened. Tumor biopsies can be assayed for susceptibility to treatment with a particular drug using a similar assay. VL30-regulated expression of a reporter gene can also be used in screening assays for both inhibitors or stimulators of cell proliferation. |
