titleOfInvention Geothermal power generation system
abstract Abstract: A system for generating electricity from geothermal energy (10) releases endothermic reactions at the bottom of wells (12) for capturing and storing geothermal heat, and heat stored in the products of the endothermic reactions Due to the exothermic reaction at the top of the well (12). In one preferred embodiment, the endothermic reaction is the decomposition of water. To induce an endothermic reaction and to capture and separate the resulting products, a catalytic device (22) is used in which each type of product selectively diffuses into individual conduits (24,26). The endothermic product causes an exothermic reaction in the combustion turbine (240), and the product of the exothermic reaction is immediately condensed in the condenser (242). In one preferred embodiment, the condenser (242) condenses the steam into liquid water for lowering back to the well (12), forming a closed system.
