titleOfInvention | Supported catalyst composition for olefin polymerization |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nIn accordance with the present invention, there is provided a method of making a novel composition for olefin polymerization and a method of using the composition. The method for producing the supported catalyst composition of the present invention comprises, in its broadest form, an inorganic support or an inorganic oxide support to which a transition metal of Group 3-10 of the periodic table is uniformly added. After treating with a metal alkylating agent, treating the reaction product with a halogenating agent. The resulting reaction product may be recovered and used in the polymerization of polyolefins in cooperation with an activating cocatalyst. |
