abstract | (57) [Summary]nA method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device having a color filter includes a first support member, a plurality of first electrodes fixed to the first support member, a liquid crystal layer, at least one second electrode, and a substantially transparent second support member. And sequentially assembling. Upon exposure to actinic radiation, an imageable layer capable of forming three different colors is disposed between the first and second support members. The assembly is then exposed to actinic radiation to produce a plurality of first, second and third color filter elements in the imageable layer. These filter elements are arranged with the first electrode, thereby forming a color filter in-situ between the first and second support members. |
