(57) Abstract: A fast cooling reaction involves a reactor chamber having a high temperature heating means such as a plasma torch at its inlet and a confined center nozzle at its outlet end. The reactants are injected into the reactor chamber. The heating gas stream thus obtained is cooled rapidly by passing it through a nozzle. This "freezes" the desired end product in the heated parallel reaction stage. |
