Method for producing transparent organic glass substrate and substrate thus obtained |
abstract |
(57) [Abstract] (a) A polymerizable composition (8) comprising a transparent organic glass is supplied to a mold, and (b) the obtained transparent organic glass substrate has a considerably lower degree of progress and a lower degree of progress than the rest of the substrate (9). The composition is polymerized under conditions such that it has at least one thin surface layer (10) polymerized to a degree that exhibits a degree of crosslinking, and (c) subjecting the substrate to thermal stress relief annealing if necessary. Method. The method is useful for the production of finished or semi-finished ophthalmic products, especially photochromic ophthalmic products. |
