(57) Abstract: Activity of a conjugated 2,5-alkyl- or alkoxy-substituted poly (p-phenylenevinylene) having an inactive region (51) and a light-emitting region (52) by pattern irradiation using UV light A method for manufacturing an electroluminescent device provided with a layer (5) is provided. Both regions (51 and 52) of the active layer (5) show distinct differences in electroluminescence, electrical resistance and solubility. Due to the above effects, a display can be manufactured without using structured electrode layers (3 and 11). |
