abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To irradiate a photocatalyst member with weak ultraviolet light or visible light to excite the photocatalyst member, suppress the growth of bacteria and microorganisms through the photocatalytic action of the photocatalyst member, and provide sanitary and safe water. To provide a water treatment apparatus that can supply water for a long time and does not promote deterioration of a water storage tank, a float valve, and the like. SOLUTION: A lid 33 of a water storage tank 23 is formed of an ultraviolet-permeable fluororesin that transmits light including ultraviolet rays having a wavelength range of 180 nm to 400 nm, and the ultraviolet-permeable fluororesin portion is allowed to pass through the water storage tank 23. An ultraviolet lamp 35 for irradiating the inside with ultraviolet light is provided outside the water storage tank 23, and the ultraviolet lamp 35 is provided inside the water storage tank 23. Photocatalyst layer 3 which receives photo-irradiation from the surface to cause photocatalytic reaction to suppress the growth of bacteria and microorganisms contained in purified water 7 is provided.
