I will provide a. SOLUTION: In a magnetic recording medium having a transparent magnetic recording layer comprising a ferromagnetic material and a binder on at least one side of a support, first, after dispersing the ferromagnetic material, at least one of a hardening component and a hardening reaction catalyst is provided. One of them is added to the binder of the transparent magnetic recording layer in an amount of 2 to 35% by weight to prepare a magnetic coating solution, and the total solid content of the transparent magnetic recording layer after drying is 5% of the magnetic coating solution. A method for producing a magnetic recording medium, wherein the coating is performed so as to be 20% by weight or less. |
