abstract (57) [Summary] [Problem] To provide a method for producing a light-weight soap which is not only difficult to dissolve and dissolve but also excellent in odor of fragrance by containing bubbles uniformly. In a method for producing a lightweight soap having an apparent specific gravity of less than 1 and bubbles dispersed therein, bubbles are contained in a soap composition by aeration treatment. Thereafter, the soap composition and the fragrance are mixed under conditions in which a shear strain energy smaller than the shear strain energy provided by the aeration treatment is applied.
