titleOfInvention | Method for producing aromatic polycarbonate |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing the amount of a catalyst used for polymerization to an extremely small amount and producing a polycarbonate having good hue and the like with good cost and high productivity. SOLUTION: In the method for producing an aromatic polycarbonate by subjecting an aromatic dihydroxy compound and a diaryl carbonate to a melt polycondensation reaction in the presence of a transesterification catalyst, the chlorine content of a water-soluble chlorine-based impurity is 30 pp. b or less, and the total nitrogen content of the nitrogen-containing impurities is 1.0 A diaryl carbonate that is less than or equal to ppm is used. |
