| abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device using a nematic discotic material and having improved viewing angle characteristics, in which the contrast ratio does not invert in any direction and the pixel capacitance between the ON state and the OFF state. The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device which is easy to manufacture and has a small difference between the two and has substantially reduced crosstalk in the case of a multiplex display device. (A) a pair of transparent substrates, (b) a coating of a transparent electrically conductive material acting as an electrode, each substrate having on one of its surfaces, (c) between the coated surfaces of the substrates. (D) having a nematic discotic material sandwiched therebetween, thereby forming a cell; A liquid crystal display device comprising: a pair of crossed polarizers, wherein the cell is disposed therebetween. |
