abstract | (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] A metal foil, a heat-resistant plastic or the like can be satisfactorily connected to each other. Provided is a method for producing a continuous base material that connects sheet-like base materials without causing the sheet to come off. SOLUTION: A resin adhesive layer is formed between a final portion of a sheet-shaped substrate and a leading portion of another sheet-shaped substrate by using a connecting device having a heat press, a substrate fixing device, and an accumulator. A method of sandwiching and thermocompression of the portion was found. Also, when performing thermocompression bonding, the base material fixing device is operated to make the thermocompression bonding portion stationary in the heat press machine, and the accumulator is operated to set the conveyance speed of the sheet-shaped base material on the downstream side to a predetermined speed.
